Help support the Field Station and art students by voting for this year’s 2013 (First) Annual T-shirt design destined to become a collector’s item!

Visual Arts Professor Gregory Ball  and his great Arts 295 Printmaking 2 students did a class competition for this years T-shirt that we will sell to support public education at the Field Station.  We’re going to give the winner a $150 gift certificate for art supplies at the VIU bookstore, plus fame and glory!

We picked our favourite designs and have them below (in no particular order).  Take a look and give us your opinion.  You can click on any design to view it larger.  Contest closes at 1130 Wednesday!  We’ll announce results Wednesday Afternoon.  Thanks for playing!

    This is a tough call. I am about to vote for the first one because it looks like a schematic, and I also like the superiority of vector graphics.
    Additionally, the binomial nomenclature and latin wording is a bonus, and there is a subtle labeling joke where its labeled “face.”
    Overall, I think the concept was well executed; moreover, the pastel blue is also upwards of 200% legit as a cotten t-shirt colour.

    I like the idea of a mussel shirt. But will there be any text to say Deep Bay Marine Field Station?
