We took a bigger and better version of last years touch tank and display to this years Qualicum Beach Day. Thanks so much to the organizers for the support in order to put this together. Our little crew was kept hopping all day and our critters inspired. Better yet the crowd was curious, excited and treated all our marine friends with respect and everybody made it back in one piece! Lots of pics and little text follow.
Our booth on the waterfront from a distance. Just visible in the back if you look close, is our big work truck with more than a tonne of chilled seawater in which we have also put big ziplock bags of saltwater ice to get us through the day. All set to recirculate and keep the critters happy. The touch tank is to the right you cant see it because it was mobbed all day!

That’s Mayor Teunis Wesbrook on far right talking to residents
and then the tide came up!
Thanks to great young crew, left to right Shaun, Candice and Jensen. Aided by Allison who collected on Friday for the tank and Max who put all the recirculating rig , both of whom who stayed behind to look after visitors to the Station.
